A FLORIDA-FRIENDLY, perennial, an upright-growing flowering evergreen plant.    Blooms almost all year.  It makes a great source year-round for many pollinators, including monarch butterflies.   Hummingbirds love this Penta too!  A perennial flowering Penta produces dense clusters of beautiful flowers throughout the year.  Likes full sun to a part  sun location in the landscape.  Use in containers or the ground.  Makes a great cut flower!  No deadheading and low maintenance.  Hummingbirds, Bees, and Butterflies love Penta. Use it in a mixed flower bed, in front of tall green shrubs. under a palm that gets lots of indirect sun.  Cold hardy zone 9.  Said to be drought tolerant once established, but like most plants, it prefers a regular watering schedule. It can handle our highly heated and humid summer days.  Said to be deer resistant.  Not toxic to humans and pets.  Fertilize with a good granular slow-release (10-10-10) fertilizer in spring, summer, and fall.  Remember to follow the manufacturer's instructions for application.
